Senior Pastor and Teacher Abundant Life International Baptist Cathedral Bishop Aubrey G. Mullen, Jr. is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. He and his wife Vanessa have been blessed with four beautiful children, Canita, Christopher (deceased), Krystal, and Gerard; they also have two beautiful granddaughters, N'Jaria Abria-Joi and Abria Louisa, as well as a handsome grandson, Christopher Joseph. He is a graduate of Christian Leadership Seminary in Elma, New York with a Master of Theology Degree and a Doctorate of Divinity Degree. In October of 1994, the Lord directed Bishop Mullen into his divine destiny when He called him to establish Abundant Life Baptist Church, Inc. in Jacksonville, NC. In 13 years, the membership has grown from fifty-five members to over 1,000 and it continues to grow. He has built a complete ministry complex that includes an 800-seat sanctuary; office spaces; classrooms; multi-purpose rooms; a four-star daycare facility; and an independent non-profit organization, Abundant Life Community Outreach, Inc. He provides continuous financial, agricultural, and medical support to churches he has planted abroad. He also conducts an annual mission's trip to minister to, as well as to witness first hand the needs of God's people. On June 16, 2001, he was installed as the Southeast District Overseer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI) of North Carolina. He was honored at the FGBCF International Conference Awards Banquet in Atlanta, GA as the 2003 recipient of the prestigious "District Overseer of the Year" Award. In April of the next year 2004, he planted Abundant Life Full Gospel Baptist Church of Goldsboro, NC. In March of 2005, he was elevated to the office of Bishop-Elect for the State of North Carolina. In July of 2005, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop. In February 2006, he planted Abundant Life Full Gospel Baptist Church of Havelock, NC. His primary focus of ministry is to reach the un-reached and to disciple the un-discipled through global missions and worldwide evangelism. He is committed to work until the Lord's return. His utmost desire is to fulfill the Great Commission. |
